đ¸ Ostara: The Spring Equinox
When day and night once again stand in perfect balance and the land begins to burst into bloom, we celebrate Ostara, the Spring Equinox. Named for the Germanic goddess Äostre, this is a festival of fertility, renewal, and balance.
đ Ancient Roots
Äostre was associated with dawn, the hare, and the eggâsymbols of fertility and rebirth. While her worship was localised in early Germanic regions, the Spring Equinox was marked worldwide as a time of sowing, new life, and equal balance between light and dark.
Modern Ostara blends ancient Pagan traditions with seasonal symbols like eggs, hares, flowers, and seeds, all honouring lifeâs renewal.
